The latest online learning lab workshop LUC (“Let us chat”) by almost 40 students of the Munich University of Applied Sciences initially carried out and thus implemented some interesting ideas. - DMF: Databases for everyone!
Databases are omnipresent: almost every application uses a database system as a basis for the stringent management of data. Data management as part of data literacy is the basis for the digitalisation of processes and the development of new business models. This is why these methods and concepts are often taught to non-IT students in courses. - Prototyping with 3D Printing – students apply “Learning Lab” know-how for their bachelor thesis
Contribution by Prof. Dr. Joachim Günther (HM) – Students use their practical knowledge acquired in the POW workshop (Print your own world) as part of the Learning Lab to realize products. The functional models and prototypes shown in Figures 1 – 3 were created as part of bachelor theses. - From the modeled process to a digitized workflow: the new virtual workshop “Process Management Fundamentals” (PMF)
In the PMF workshop, the participants model and simulate processes and thus make them tangible and experience them in a team. This is followed by the transfer to automated workflows. - Evolution of the Learning Lab: “HAT virtual” – from presence to virtual workshop
The Covid 19 pandemic confronted the Learning Lab with the task of adapting the workshops for online use. The HAT (Home Automation with Internet of Things) workshop makes its successful online debut with 50 students. - Kicked off: virtual version of the workshop “Digital Business Foundation”
